Getting around

Getting Around
Villa Palm Valley is located in relaxed Rotonda West, a peaceful and spacious Gulf Coast community with approximately 10,000 residents, surrounded by canals, waterways, and natural Florida scenery. To enjoy the area at your own pace, we recommend having a car or rental car during your stay. Beaches, golf courses, restaurants, grocery stores, marinas, parks, and nearby coastal towns are all easy to reach by car.

Walks, bike rides, and day trips
The neighborhood itself is great for relaxed walks, bike rides, and quiet moments in a laid-back Florida atmosphere. For day trips, you can easily explore nearby places such as Englewood, Manasota Key, Boca Grande, Venice, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, or Fort Myers.

Getting out on the water
Water is a big part of the lifestyle in this area. Nearby marinas and local providers offer many ways to get out on the water, from boat rentals and guided boat tours to kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing trips, and shelling excursions. Depending on the type of boat, your age, and the rental provider, safety instructions, minimum age requirements, or a Florida boating safety certificate may apply.

Uber, taxis, and ride-share
Uber usually works quite well in the area and can be a convenient option if you do not want to drive. However, ride-share services and taxis may not always be as immediate as in larger cities, so we recommend planning ahead, especially for airport transfers, dinner reservations, or late-night rides.

Flying in
For guests flying in from out of state or internationally, Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers (RSW) are usually the best options. Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) can also be convenient, especially for domestic and regional flights.
